서울무용제 남자 최고 무용수상 수상 / 이우진(공연예술학부 무용전공 15)

국민대학교(총장 유지수) 예술대학 무용전공 이우진 학생이 지난 12월 4일(화) 대학로 아르코예술극장에서 열린 「제39회 서울무용제」에서 남자 최고 무용수상을 수상했다.
한국무용협회가 주최·주관하는 서울무용제는 우수한 창작무용 공연을 통하여 대한민국 무용예술의 진흥에 기여하고자 개최되었다. 1979년 「대한민국무용제」로 처음 발족한 이래 올해 39회를 맞이하며 오랜 전통을 자랑하는 서울을 대표하는 예술축제이다.
이번 서울무용제에서는 심사결과 집계에 따라 최고 무용수상 남자부문에 국민대 이우진(무용 4) 학생이 선정되었다. 이우진 학생의 최고 무용수상 수상은 앞으로 한국을 넘어 세계의 발레계를 이끌어갈 경쟁력있는 무용수로서의 가능성을 보여주었다.
이우진 학생은 “생각지도 않은 좋은 결과를 낼 수 있게 되어 매우 기쁘다”며 “부족한 부분은 더욱 보완하여 세계적으로 인정받을 수 있는 무용수가 될 것”이라고 포부를 밝혔다.
한 편 이우진 학생은 이번 수상을 비롯하여 ▲2018 코리아국제발레콩쿠르 금상 ▲2016 한국발레협회 서울발레콩쿨 대상 ▲2015 동아무용콩쿠르 금상 등 다양한 대회에 출전하여 뛰어난 수상실적을 이뤄냈다.
