제50차 대학생을 위한 외교워크숍 모의 국제회의 최우수상 수상 / 백승호(법학부 14) 학생

지난 2월 18일부터 2월 22일까지 국립외교원에서 열린 '제50차 대학생을 위한 외교워크숍'의 '모의 국제회의'에서 백승호(법학부 공법학전공 14) 학생이 최우수상을 수상했다.
대학생 외교 워크숍은 외교부 국립외교원에서 주관하는 행사이며, 우리나라 대학생들의 외교 현안에 대한 이해 제고 및 국제화 역량 강화를 목적으로 2004년부터 동·하계 방학 기간에 실시되고 있다. 이번 워크숍까지 총 50차에 걸쳐 약 2,450명의 수료생을 배출하였다. 이번 대학생 워크숍에는 각 대학에서 추천을 받고 국립외교원에서 최종 선발된 대학생 59명이 참여하여 한국의 공공외교 및 주요 국제 관계 등 다양한 외교 이슈에 대해 강의를 듣고 토론하는 시간을 가졌다. 특히, 워크숍 기간 중 마지막 날 진행된 '모의 국제회의'는 실제 UN 회의와 유사한 형식으로 진행되었다.
이 회의에서 워크숍에 참여한 대학생들은 배정받은 국가의 입장을 주제에(기후변화에 따른 국제적 대응) 맞게 발표하고 토론하는 기회를 가졌다. 모든 회의는 영어로 진행되었다. 총 2개의 팀이 최우수상을 수상하였고, 총 2개의 팀이 우수상을 수상했다. 입상한 학생들은 국립외교원장 명의로 발급된 상장을 수상하는 영예를 안았다.
