에이치피바이오, 최수현 前 금감원장 '경영최고자문위원 위촉'

[이데일리 정시내 기자] 에이치피바이오가 전 금융감독원장 최수현 교수를 경영최고자문위원으로 위촉했다고 17일 밝혔다.
최수현 위원은 지난 1일 공식취임을 시작으로 현재 바이오 업계 화두인 앱타머기반의 신약개발물질의 해외 진출 전략을 도모하고 이 회사가 보유한 원천 특허 및 앱타머 플렛폼기술(HAPTA=HpbioAptamer)을 확장해 비만, 알레르기, 암, 치매, 피부상처 치료제 등 총 19가지 신약개발하는데 국내외적으로 본격적인 행보에 나설 예정이다.
이 회사 관계자는 “전세계적으로 이슈화 되고 있는 희귀금속 물질인 희토류를 광물 및 천연자원으로부터 친환경적으로 선택적 분리 추출할 수 있는 국내 독보적인 앱타머 기술을 보유하고 있다”며 “이번 최수현 위원의 영입은 내수 시장의 펀더멘탈을 굳건히 함을 물론 제약회사들이 멀티도메스틱 전략으로 해외진출을 적극적으로 추진함에 실질적인 모멘텀을 확보하기 위함”이라고 밝혔다.
최수현 자문위원은 현재 국민대 석좌교수로 전 청와대 경제수석실, WorldBank등에서 근무해 경제 및 국제적 역량과 감각을 지닌 것으로 평가되고 있다.
