국회기후변화포럼 소속 대학생 대표로 유엔기후변화협약(UNFCCC) COP25 참관 / 김지수(법학부 16) 학생

우리 대학 법과대학 김지수(법학부 16)학생이 지난 2019년 12월 국회기후변화포럼 소속 대학생 대표로서 스페인 마드리드에서 개최된 유엔기후변화협약(UNFCCC) COP25에 참관했다. 약 2주 동안 마드리드에 머물며 1주차에는 「Your Response, Your Responsibility」 캠페인과「Climate Change Lifestyle of Korean Youth」 주제로 세미나 발표를, 2주차에는 COP25 회의에 참관해 각 나라 고위급 환경부 장관들을 만나 의미 있는 시간을 가졌다.
김지수 학생은 “1주 차「Your Response, Your Responsibility」 캠페인은 참여한 사람들의 답변을 통해 기후변화 대응에 대한 의지를 다지고 연대의 힘을 느낄 수 있었다”며 “개인적으로도 기후변화 대응에 있어 작게나마 도움이 되길 바랐지만, 또한 한편으로는 우리의 목소리가 현실에 반영 될 수 있을까 하는 아쉬움도 있었다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 「Climate Change Lifestyle of Korean Youth」 세미나는 몇 달 동안 준비한 내용답게 팀원 모두 성공적으로 마무리 할 수 있었다.
2주 차에는 COP25 회의에 참관했다. 김지수 학생은 “ 핵심 의제의 진전이 많지 않아 아쉬웠지만, 법학도로서 국제 협약이 만들어지는 과정을 두 눈으로 지켜볼 수 있어서 너무나 영광이었다”며 “이번 참관에서 가장 기억에 남는 것은 북한 대표단을 만나 지속 가능한 발전을 위해 함께 협력하자는 약속을 하고 인사를 나눈 것이었고, 한국에서도 미래 세대를 위해‘기후변화’에 더 관심을 가졌으면 하는 바람”이라고 말했다.
