World Conference on Information Security Applications 수상 / 한동국, 이옥연(정보보안암호수학과) 연구팀

지난 8월 26일부터 28일까지 3일간 개최된 World Conference on Information Security Applications(이하 WISA) 2020에서 국민대 한동국 교수(정보보안암호수학과 및 금융정보보안학과) 'SICADA(SIde Channel Analysis Design Acamecy)' 연구실의 임한섭(금융정보보안학과 석사과정 19학번), 심보연(수학과 박사 15학번), 한재승(금융정보보안학과 석사과정 20학번), 김주환(정보보안암호수학과 학사과정 16학번) 학생들이 'Best Poster Premium’상을 수상했다.
이와 더불어 국민대 이옥연 교수(정보보안암호수학과 및 금융정보보안학과) ‘IoT 보안(IoT Security)’ 연구실의 장찬국(금융정보보안학과 박사과정 18학번), 한주홍(금융정보보안학과 석사과정 19학번) 학생들이 ‘Best Poster Silver’상을 수상했다. 시상식은 8월 28일 금요일 제주도의 메종 글레드 호텔에서 개최(온라인 병행)되었다.
WISA는 대한민국 과학기술정보통신부, 한국전자통신연구원, 한국인터넷진흥원, 국가보안기술연구소에서 후원하고 있는 세계적인 학술대회로 매년 한국정보보호학회가 개최하고 있다.
‘Best Poster Premium’상으로 채택된 포스터의 제목은 'Design of Machine Learning-based Side Channel Attack Models for Effective Non-Profiling Analysis'로 최근 머신러닝(Machine Learning) 기반의 분석 방법들이 다양한 분야에 적용되는 가운데 부채널 분석(Side Channel Analysis)의 특성을 고려한 효율적인 머신러닝 모델 설계 방법을 제안하였으며 실험을 통해 제안한 방법을 검증하였다.
‘Best Poster Silver’상으로 채택된 포스터의 제목은 ‘Parallel De-concealment of SUCI using GPU for 5G Multi-Access’로 최근 5G 이동통신이 표준화가 완료되고 상용화가 되어감에 따라 5G 이동통신 시스템에 대한 요구사항들을 충족시키기 위한 다양한 방법들이 제시되고, 이전 세대 이동통신의 취약점이었던 IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identity)의 노출을 방지하기 위해 5G에서 도입된 SUCI(Subscription Concealed Identifier)라는 식별자에 대한 De-concealing을 GPU를 활용하여 빠르게 수행하는 방법을 제안하였으며, 실험을 통해 제안한 방법을 검증하였다.
