권태호(국민대학교 전자공학부 박사과정)는 6월26일 스위스그랜드호텔(서울 홍은동)에서 진행된 (사)한국지식재산교육연구학회 2020 춘계 학술대회에서 ‘Visual-MIMO에 대한 국가별 특허 통계 분석’을 주제로 특허청장상(최우수논문발표상)을 수상했다.

이 연구는 현재 전자공학부 멀티미디어통신/신호처리 연구실(지도교수 김기두)에서 진행하고 있는 프로젝트를 바탕으로 진행되었다.
이 연구에서는 Visual-MIMO 통신기술의 세계 주요국가들의 특허 동향을 파악하여 해당 기술의 현재 발전 정도 및 발전 방향을 분석하였다. 세계 주요국가들로는 한국, 미국, 유럽, 일본, 중국을 선정하였으며, 각 국가의 특허 통계 분석을 통해 Visual-MIMO 기술의 연구 방향을 제시하여 향후 연구의 방향 및 강인한 특허를 확보를 목표로 하였다. 이러한 연구의 질 향상에 직결된 특허 분석이 좋은 평가를 받아 특허청장상(최우수논문발표상)을 수상하였다.
권태호 박사과정은 “연구실에서 진행하는 프로젝트 및 세미나가 본 연구에 큰 도움이 되었다.” 며 “추후 분석 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 질을 향상시켜 해당 분야를 선도할 것이다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.
