2020 교육부 학술연구지원사업 우수성과 선정 / 박원광(정보보호암호수학과) 교수

과학기술대학 정보보안암호수학과 박원광 교수의 연구결과가 '2020년 교육부 학술·연구지원사업 우수성과 50선'에 선정되었다.
이공분야에서 우수성과로 선정된 '실제 마이크로파 이미징(microwave imaging)에 사용 가능한 비반복적 알고리즘의 수학적 분석' 연구는 실제 마이크로파 이미징 문제에서 고려해야 하는 제한점을 반영하여 비반복적 알고리즘의 근본적인 성질에 대한 규명은 물론 이물질 검출에 대한 유일성을 입증할 수 있는 수학적 이론을 최초로 개발하였고, 이를 통하여 마이크로파 이미징 문제에서 비반복적 알고리즘을 적용하기 위한 최적화된 실험조건을 설계함은 물론, 개선방법을 제시할 수 있는 수학적 이론 및 관련 연구 분야의 개발에 기여하였다는 평가를 받았다.
교육부 학술·연구지원사업 우수성과 50선은 2006년부터 교육부와 한국연구재단의 주관하에 매년 교육부 학술·연구지원사업으로, 도출된 성과 중 학문의 발전과 사회 문제 해결에 기여해 온 학술연구지원사업의 우수한 성과를 널리 알리고, 연구자들의 자긍심을 고취하기 위해 발표되고 있다. 올해는 2019년 학술·연구지원사업 성과물 21,505건 중 공모와 추천을 통해 접수된 156개 후보 과제에 대하여, 학문분야별 전문가 등으로 구성된 평가단의 심의를 거쳐 인문사회 분야 30건, 한국학분야 5건, 이공 분야 15건의 우수성과가 최종 선정되었다.
