2021 국방로봇경진대회 한화국방로봇상 수상 / 로봇동아리 KUDOS 학생들

우리 대학 로봇동아리 KUDOS팀이 지난 12월 16일(목) 한국로봇융합연구원과 육군 본부가 개최하고, 한화디펜스에서 후원한 '2021 국방로봇경진대회'에서 2위(한화국방로봇상)을 수상했다.
이번 대회에서는 예선을 통과해 올라온 11개팀(58명이)이 참가했고 각종 트랙을 돌면서, 계단 등반, 수류탄 제거, 기지 복귀, 험지 극복 등 각종 미션을 수행했다.
KUDOS는 아쉽게도 3점차라는 근소한 차이로 2위를 수상하였다. 또한 부상으로 500만원의 상금과 추후 한화 디펜스 입사 지원시 서류통과, 가산점 등 혜택을 받을 수 있게됐다.
참가 학생들은 “국내에서 가장 규모가 큰 로봇 대회이자, 전국 각 대학교의 로봇에 실력 있는 팀들이 모두 모인 대회인 만큼, 국민대학교의 이름을 알릴 수 있었던 좋은 기회였다고 생각한다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 기계공학부 로봇동아리 KUDOS는 2013년부터 국내/국외 Robocup 을 비롯하여, 국방로봇대회 등 많은 로봇 관련 대회에 출전하며 성과를 거두어 인지도를 높이고 있다.
