태양광자동차 차량 전시 참여 / 태양광자동차 동아리 KUST 학생들

우리 대학 태양광 자동차 동아리 KUST(Kookmin University Solarcar Team)가 오는 2월 11일(금)까지 한국잡월드 1층 로비에서 전시를 진행한다. KUST는 국내 유일 태양광 자동차 동아리로 2013년도부터 시작하여 World Solar Challenge, Green Car, FSAE, KSAE 등 국내외의 다양한 자동차 대회에 참가해왔으며 2022년에는 군산에서 개최되는 KSAE와 Shell Eco Marathon Asia 대회 참가를 앞두고 있다.
약 200명의 창의공과대학, 자동차융합대학, 과학기술대학 등 다양한 전공의 학생들로 구성된 기계공학부 소속 동아리 KUST는 친환경을 모토로 두고 있으며 전기, 태양광, 그리고 수소 연료를 사용하여 다양한 형태의 자작 차량을 제작해왔다.
KUST는 한국잡월드 대학생 로비 전시를 통해 2021 BWSC(Bridgestone World Solar Challenge) 대회에 참가한 태양광 자동차 ‘만세(MANSE)’와 2021 KSAE 대회 Formula 부문 금상을 수상한 전기 자동차 ‘범(BEOM)’을 전시하여 동아리의 활동을 홍보한다. 또한, 미래를 이끌어갈 청소년들에게 친환경 에너지를 이용해 제작한 자동차를 소개하여 친환경 에너지에 대한 관심을 일으키고자 한다.
