국민대 산림환경시스템학과 학생들 ‘2022년 국제청소년산림대회 논문공모전’ 장려상 수상

우리 대학 산림환경시스템학과(김영채, 윤지영, 장혜지, 곽지수/ 지도교수 이창배) 학생들이 지난 9월 2일(금) 열린 ‘제9회 국제청소년산림대회 논문공모전’에서 ‘우리나라 산림의 유형별 지상부 바이오매스에 대한 생물적·비생물적 인자들의 상대적 중요성에 관한 연구’로 장려상(3등)을 수상했다.
산림환경시스템학과 학생들은 산림의 기능 가운데 가장 중요한 생물다양성과 탄소흡수 기능을 동시에 향상시킬 수 있는 산림관리 기술의 실마리를 제공하는 연구를 수행하여 심사위원들의 호평을 받았다.
본 연구를 이끈 김영채 학생은 “탄소중립시대에 국제적으로 중요성이 부각되고 있는 산림의 기능들을 동시에 향상시킬 수 있는 산림관리 방안 및 기술 개발에 대해 흥미를 가지고 있으며, 앞으로 이와 관련된 분야의 공부를 깊이 있게 해보고 싶다”고 말했다.
올해 9회를 맞는 이번 공모전은 산림청과 한국산림과학회가 국내 산림 분야 대학생 역량 개발 및 세계적 미래 인재를 발굴할 목적으로 대한민국 국적을 가진 만 22세 이하 대학생(5인 이내 공동 연구 가능)을 대상으로 개최되었다.
제출된 논문은 1차 서면 심사, 2차 영어 논문 발표 심사를 거쳤으며, 수상팀들(4개 팀)은 산림청장 표창과 소정의 상금이 수여됐다.
