태양광자동차동아리(KUST), 서울오토살롱 전시에 대학교팀으로는 유일하게 참가

우리 대학 태양광 자동차 동아리 KUST(이하 커스트)가 2022년 9월16일부터 9월 18일까지 일산 킨텍스 제1전시장에서 전시를 진행했다.
오토살롱위크는 150여개의 기업이 참가하는 대규모 전시로 각종 자동차 부품, 튜닝, 케어 등 국내 최대, 유일의 자동차 애프터마켓 비즈니스 플렛폼으로 자리매김 해 오고 있다. 커스트는 오토살롱위크에 유일하게 참가하는 대학교 팀으로 차량과 부품을 전시하며 큰 기대 아래, 이번 전시회에 참가하였다.
커스트는 창의공과대학, 자동차융합대학, 과학기술대학 등 다양한 전공의 학생들이 모여 구성된 기계과 소속 동아리로 태양광, 전기, 그리고 수소 연료와 같은 친환경 에너지를 사용하여 태양광 자동차, E 포뮬러 자동차, 수소연료 전지 차량까지 매년 발전을 거듭해 다양한 형태의 자작 차량을 제작해왔다.
커스트는 국내 유일 태양광 자동차 동아리로, 호주에서 열리는 World Solar Challenge 대회와 KSAE 한국 대학생 자작 자동차 대회에 참가하였으며 인도네시아에서 개최하는 Shell Eco Marathon 대회 참가 예정을 앞두고 있다. 이번 오토살롱위크에서 커스트는 2021 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge에 참가한 태양광 자동차 “만세”와 2022 KSAE 대회에 참가한 E Formula 자동차 “답(D.A.P)”을 전시하여 많은 관심을 받았다.
