'책의 날' 기념 은관문화훈장 수상 / 이건복(국사학과 74) 동문

우리 대학과 국사학과를 졸업한 이건복 도서출판 동녘 대표가 출판문화 발전에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 은관문화훈장 수훈자로 선정됐다.
이건복 대표는 오는 12일 서울 한국프레스센터에서 열리는 제36회 책의 날 기념식에서 정부 포상을 받을 예정이다.
은관문화훈장을 받는 이건복 대표는 45년간 인문·교양 분야 도서를 꾸준히 출간해 양서 출판 발전에 기여했다. 특히 출판문화 공동체인 파주출판도시 기획·추진과 출판도시입주기업협의회 창립 등 출판문화산업 집적화를 통한 기반 구축에 힘썼다.
'책의 날'은 매년 10월11일이다. 고려대장경 완성일(1251년 10월11일)을 기념해 1987년에 출판계에서 제정했다. 올해 36회째를 맞는다. 정부는 매년 '책의 날' 출판문화 조성에 기여한 출판인들을 발굴, 포상하고 있다.
