교육부 『우수성과 50선』 장관상 수상 / 은종학(중국학부) 교수

우리 대학 중국정경전공 은종학 교수의 연구가 교육부의 『학술·연구지원사업 우수성과 50선』에 선정되어 교육부 장관상을 수상했다.
교육부는 13일, 지난해에 창출된 12,000여 건의 연구성과 중 인문사회계 26건, 이공계 20건, 한국학 4건 등 총 50건을 우수성과로 선정하여 표창하였다.
장관상을 수상한 은 교수의 학술서 『중국과 혁신: 맥락과 구조, 이론과 정책 함의』는 중국학(Chinese Studies)과 혁신학(Innovation Studies)을 아우른 융복합 연구성과이다. 중국이 최근까지 도모한 성장과 혁신의 길을 조명한, 앞으로 닥칠 생소한 미래에 참고할 가장 가까운 중국 역사이기도 하다.
『중국과 혁신』은 중화인민공화국이 서구의 혁신 개념을 수용하고 실천한 독특한 과정을 밝히는 한편, 그 과정을 거쳐 형성된 오늘날 중국 국가혁신체제(National Innovation System)의 구조와 그 다양한 지점에서 벌어지는 양상을 분석·종합하였다.
더불어, 혁신이론의 태두 슘페터(Schumpeter)의 원전을 비판적으로 재검토하여 그를 현대에 맞게 수정·재해석하였다. 그렇게 드러난 ‘새로운 중국’과 ‘새로운 혁신’을 마주 대해야 하는 한국은 어떤 길을 정책적으로 모색해가야 하는지도 논하였다.
『중국과 혁신』은 여전히 혼란스러운 한글맞춤법 상의 중국어 표기법에 대한 개선안을 제시하고 그를 책 전반에 구현해 보이기도 했다.
