전주세계소리축제 집행위원장 위촉 / 김희선(교양대학) 교수

전주세계소리축제(이하 소리축제) 신임 집행위원장에 우리 대학 교양대학의 김희선 교수가 위촉됐다.
김희선 신임 집행위원장은 서울대 국악과를 졸업하고 동 대학교에서 석사를 마쳤으며 피츠버그 대학교 음악인류학 박사 학위를 취득했다. 문화재청 무형문화재위원회 전문위원, 한국문화예술교육진흥원 이사, Tea Garden Festival 명인시리즈 예술감독 등으로 무형문화재, 예술교육, 예술정책, 예술경영, 예술현장 등 다방면에서 전통예술 전문가로서의 다양한 경력을 가지고 있다. 특히 유네스코 산하 국제전통음악학회 동아시아음악연구회(ICTMMEA) 회장으로 선출되는 등 한국 전통음악의 세계화에 앞장서고 국제적 위상을 높인 공로를 인정받아 지난 2021년 국무총리 표창을 수상하기도 했다.
