2023 군▪ 유관기관 합동 드론 경연대회 표창/ 기계공학부 드론동아리 '크론’

국민대 기계공학부 내 드론동아리(크론, Krone)활동의 두 학생(배주원, 이서호)이 육군 제 2188부대에서 2023년 11월3일 개최된 ‘2023년 제1회 용마배 드론 경연대회’에서 각각 1, 2위의 성적으로 표창장을 받았다. 용마배 드론 경연대회는 민·관·군·경 합동 드론 작전 태세 확립을 높이고자 군에서 개최된 드론 조종대회다. 학생들은 이 대회를 통해 조종 실력을 늘려 크론 동아리 내 우수한 드론 조종 파일럿으로 성장할 수 있다.
국민대 기계공학부에서는 고정익과 회전익 항공기의 설계·제작에 관심 있는 학생들끼리 모여, 두 지도교수(기계공학부 임시형, 미래모빌리티학과 윤용현)의 지도로 활동하고 있다.
