산업통상부 장관상 수상 / 김주은(응용화학부) 교수

국민대학교(총장 정승렬) 바이오의약전공 김주은 교수가 지난 11월 28일(화) 열린 ‘2023년 바이오산업인의 날’ 행사에서 바이오헬스 R&D우수성과를 인정받아 산업통상자원부장관상을 수상했다.
산업통상자원부와 한국바이오협회, 한국산업기술평가기획원이 서울 웨스틴조선호텔에서 개최한 이날 행사는 바이오산업인의 사기를 진작하고 바이오산업 발전에 기여한 유공자를 포상하기 위해 기획됐다.
김주은 교수는 약제학 및 산업약학 분야 권위자로, 바이오산업핵심기술개발사업 중 바이오산업생산고도화사업을 수행하며 인공지능 기술 기반의 의약품 제형설계와 제조공정설계가 가능한 플랫폼 기술을 개발하여 출시하였으며, 다수의 특허와 논문을 게재했고, 바이오분야와 산업약학 발전에 기여한 R&D성과를 인정받아 산업통상자원부의 장관상을 수상하였다.
국내 최대 제약기업인 ㈜유한양행 중앙연구소에서 13년간 재직했으며, 식품의약품안전처, 한국보건산업진흥원, 한국산업기술기획평가원의 기획/자문/평가위원이자, 한국약제학회, Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation 저널의 편집간사로 활동하는 등 약 20여년간 다양한 연구활동을 이어오고 있다.
