2023 DFA 어워즈 수상 / 정진열(AI디자인학과 ) 교수

국민대학교(총장 정승렬) AI디자인학과 정진열 교수가 홍콩디자인센터가 주최한 ‘2023 DFA 어워즈’에서 동상을 수상했다.
아시아를 대표하는 디자인 시상식인 2023 ‘DFA 어워즈’은 지난 2003년 시작된 이래로 아시아만의 관점 및 철학으로 훌륭한 디자인을 선보이는 이들을 수상하는 행사다. 올해는 216개의 상이 수여된 가운데 대상 10개, 금상 19개, 은상 40개, 동상 55개, 우수상 92개 등이 수여됐다.
국민대 정진열 교수는 스튜디오TEXT와 함께 진행한 리움미술관 ‘인간, 일곱개의 질문’ 전시 아이덴티티 디자인을 선보여 좋은 평가를 받았다. 정 교수는 문화예술계를 중심으로 괄목할 만한 디자인 작업을 수행해왔으며, 특히 도시의 사회와 경제적인 문제를 디자인적인 시각에서 조망하는 등 디자인의 사회적 역할을 중시하는 작가로도 널리 알려져 있다.
한편, 정 교수의 수상작은 아래 DFA AWARD 온라인 전시관에서 볼 수 있다.
