교양대학 데이비드 윌리엄 김(David William Kim)교수는 영국 왕립아시아학회(The Royal Asiatic Society, UK) 석학회원이고 미국 Harvard University HDS (전)객원교수로 최근에 세계적인 인문사회분야으로 유명한 유럽의 Brill의 현대역사 Handbooks on Contemporary Religion 의 편집장으로 선출되었다.
340 년경인 1683 년에 창립된 Brill 은 세계에서 가장 오래된 출판사로 네덜란드의 University of Leiden 에 위치하고 있다. 유럽역사와 문화의 황금기에 설립되어 인문학, 국제법, 그리고제한된 범위에서 과학분야의 전문성을 가지고 있어 전세계 모든 대학교 도서관과 개별학계에 고품질의 문헌을 공유한다. Brill Handbooks on Contemporary Religion 시리즈는 미래연구를 위한 새로운 방향을 제시하는 최첨단 학문을 출판함으로써 그 범위가 국제적이며 세계대학순위 (QS 와 THE)와 직접적인 영향을 주어 모든 학자들이 우수연구출판을 소원하는 학술전문출판사이다.
