‘피에르가르뎅 영디자이너 어워즈’ 수상 / 구민정(의상디자인학과 21), 전시온(21), 김수현(23) 학생

‘2024 Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award (PCYDA)’에서 우리대학 의상디자인학과 구민정, 전시온 학생이 Creative Award를, 김수현 학생이 Potential Award를 각각 수상하였다.
PCYDA는 전세계 패션 전공 학생들이 피에르가르뎅(Pierre Cardin)의 아방가르드 정신을 재탐색하여 본인만의 특별한 스타일과 미래지향적인 비전을 갖도록 하고자 피에르가르뎅 하우스가 개최하고 있는 공모전으로, 그동안 창의력 및 독창성, 피에르가르뎅 스타일의 재해석, 실무적 테크닉, 지속가능한 재료 활용성 등의 심사 기준에 따라 멕시코, 미국, 한국, 브라질, 중국, 이스라엘, 타이완 등을 순회하며 진행되었다.
올해 한국 PCYDA는 작년에 이어 두 번째로 개최되었다. 1차 스케치 심사를 통과한 30명의 학생들은 지난 10월 26일 피에르가르뎅의 총괄디렉터인 로드리고 바실리카티 가르뎅 등 피에르가르뎅 디자이너들이 주관한 디자이너 워크숍에 참여하여 2차 평가를 받았고, 그 중 7명의 학생들이 10월 29일 안다르 호텔에서 열린 <피에르가르뎅 패션쇼 및 영디자이너 어워즈 시상식>에서 수상자로 선정되었다.
우리대학 학생들은 1차 심사에서 6명이 선정되어 해당 워크숍에 참여하였으며, 3명이 수상하였다. 수상자와 작품 주제는 다음과 같다.
구민정(21) / Creative Award / 주제: Circles, Triangles, Rectangles
전시온(21) / Creative Award / 주제: Imagine
김수현(23) / Potential Award / 주제: Cosmic Being
