세계적인 현대 장신구 전시회 수상 / 박정혜(금속공예학과 96) 동문

우리 대학 금속공예학과 박정혜 동문이 슈묵(SCHMUCKmünchen)에서 허버트 호프만(Herbert-Hoffmann) 상을 수상했다.
슈묵(SCHMUCKmünchen)은 세계에서 가장 오래된 현대 장신구 전시회로, 1959년 허버트 호프만(Herbert-Hoffmann) 박사가 설립하여 1962년부터 매년 3월에 독일수공예박람회에서 개최되는 특별 전시회이다.
매년 슈묵에 참여하기 위한 지원서를 약 700건 받고 있으며, 올해도 789명의 지원자 중에서 29개국의 62명의 작가를 선정하였다.
'예술장신구계의 오스카(Oscar of artistic jewellery)'로 여겨지는 허버트 호프만 상(Herbert Hofmann Prize)은 매년 슈묵 전시에 참여한 작가 중 3명의 작품에 수여된다. 수상한 작가에게는 인증서와 Hermann Jünger의 디자인에 따라 제작된 비석이 수여된다.
박정혜 동문의 작품은 폐기물을 활용하여 가치를 부여하며, 이를 독창적인 레이어링과 풍경 같은 형태로 모델링하여 브로치로 사용한다. 그녀의 작품은 창의성과 장인 정신을 통해 폐기물에서도 가치를 창출할 수 있음을 보여주며, 아름다움을 찾는 과정에서 우리 스스로를 구해야 한다는 메시지를 전달하며 좋은 평가를 받았다.
