제47대 한국세라믹학회 학회장 취임 / 이기성(기계공학부) 교수

기계공학부 이기성 교수가 2026년 1월 제47대 한국세라믹학회 학회장으로 취임했다. 한국세라믹학회는 1957년에 창립된 약 70년의 역사를 갖는 국내의 대표적인 소재분야 학회로써, 기계, 전자, 화학, 물리 등의 분야에서 요구하는 소재 부품에 대한 전문가들이 모여 국내외 기술발전을 선도해 왔다. 최근에는 반도체, 배터리, 인공지능, 신 에너지, 바이오, 우주항공, 양자 분야 등 첨단 분야에서의 융합 기술과 함께 다양한 산업의 경쟁력 강화에 기여하고 있다.
이기성 교수는 2025년 회원 전체 직선 투표에서 차기회장으로 선출된 후, 수석부회장 및 엔지니어링세라믹스(기계구조용 세라믹스)부회 회장을 역임하고 올해 학회장으로 부임하게 되었다. 이기성 신임회장은 취임사에서 “전문가 간의 네트워킹이 활발히 이루어지는 학회, 현재 SCI Q1 저널인 국제 저널(한국세라믹학회지)과 KCI등재지인 국내 저널(세라미스트지)에 논문을 게재하고 학술대회에 발표하는 것만으로도 회원의 자긍심과 자부심을 느낄 수 있는 환경을 만들어 드리겠다”고 소신을 밝혔다.
