『과정, 실천을 향한 새로운 사고』 출판 / 건축대학 교수진

국민대학교 건축대학 교수진이 참여한 『과정, 실천을 향한 새로운 사고』가 최근 출간되었다. 이번 출판은 제17회 건축대학 트리엔날레를 맞아 기획되었으며, 포스트휴먼 시대를 배경으로 인공지능과 디지털 기술의 발전 속에서 변화하는 건축의 사고와 실천 방식을 다룬다.
책에는 건축 이론과 실무, 교육, 디지털 기술을 아우르는 총 12편의 글이 수록되었다. 이번 출판물은 완성된 결과물로서의 건축이 아니라, 사고와 제작, 협업과 실험이 이루어지는 ‘과정(process)’과 ‘프락시스(praxis)’에 주목한다. 특히 알고리즘 기반 설계와 AI, 디지털 제작 기술이 건축의 방식과 건축가의 역할을 어떻게 변화시키고 있는지를 다양한 시각에서 조명한다.
국민대학교 건축대학 관계자는 “급변하는 기술 환경 속에서 건축이 단순한 형태 생산을 넘어 어떠한 실천과 사고를 지속해야 하는지 고민하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “건축의 미래와 교육, 실천 방식을 함께 논의하는 중요한 담론이 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
저자로는 김동율, 김사라, 김시홍, Mario Carpo, 모성범, 박미예, 박희찬, 봉일범, 심희준, 이경훈, 장윤규, 최혜정, 황남인이 참여했으며, 국민대학교 건축대학이 엮고 바이블랭크가 출판하였다.
