사회적으로 1~2인 소형 주거에 대한 변화와 요구가 급증하고 있다. 이에 국민대학교 실내디자인학과생들이 젊은 감각이 돋보이는 공간 및 가구 디자인을 선보였다.
국민대는 최근 실내디자인학과생들이 '국민대 조형전'에 젊은 감각과 창의적인 발상으로 제작된 공간ㆍ가구 디자인을 선보여 전시회를 찾은 관계자들로부터 찬사를 받았다고 21일 밝혔다.
실내디자인학과생들은 기성디자이너와 차별화된 참신함을 내세웠기 때문이다. 일본 무사시노미술대학의 교수이자 정상급 가구디자이너인 테라하라 요시히코 교수는 "일본에서도 찾아보기 어렵고도 최고의 디자인 교육 수준을 보여줬다"며 극찬했다.
이는 실무 경험이 뛰어난 교수진들과 세계 무대를 중심으로 활동이 왕성한 젊은 강사진들로 구성된 수준 높은 교육인력의 확보로 가능한 결과였다는 것이다.
국민대는 또한 학생 작품의 실제작이 이뤄질 수 있도록 필요에 따라 목공예, 도자공예 전문가 등 타영역과의 융합과정을 실시해 기존 제품과 차별화한 점도 내세웠다.
