“한국화 보며 힐링하세요”… 4일까지 화가 박소영 개인전 / 박소영(교육대학원) 겸임교수

국민대 겸임교수로 활동 중인 박소영 작가의 개인전 ‘2017 한국화 힐링을 만나다’전이 갤러리 아리수(02-723-1661)에서 4일까지 열린다.
박 작가의 작업은 동양화의 전통적 재료체험과 기법을 중심에 두고 이루어지며 소재 역시 전통적인 이지미에서 가져오고 있다. 대나무와 매화, 포도를 연상시키는 이미지가 뒤섞인 독특한 그림들은 실제로 사군자와 민화 등에서 흔하게 접하는 식물을 모티프로 삼고 있는 것 같다. 작가는 그처럼 한국의 전통 문화 속에서 의미를 지니고 있는 특별한 도상 즉 자연이미지들을 하나로 묶거나 그것들이 상호침투하는 풍경을 만들어 보여준다.
미술평론가 박영택은 이와관련 “포도알 속에 매화나 대나무가 자리하고 있거나 대나무에 포도 알이 주렁주렁 매달려 있는 듯한 박소영의 그림은 유교적 이념과 샤머니즘이 한 몸에서 피어나거나 고고한 선비정신과 민중들의 간절한 기복신앙, 염원이 두루 얽혀 있는 상황을 연상시킨다”고 분석했다.
박 작가는 서울대 미대에서 동양화를 전공한 후 사범대에서 박사 학위를 받았으며, 10여 회의 개인전과 함께, 140여 회의 단체전 및 아트페러에 참여했다.
