‘하늘 바라기’
청년작가 공모지원전을 통해 올해 4명의 작가를 선발한 갤러리 리채가 김은지 작가 개인전을 10일부터 27일까지 개최한다.
‘하늘바라기(Hopefully Sky)’를 주제로 열리는 이번 전시는 하늘을 바라보는 여유조차 쉽게 갖지 못하는 삶속에서도 여전히 희망을 찾고 있는 현대인의 모습을 투영하고 있다. 또 하늘과 여백을 통해 여유를 주고 비움을 모색해 보는 과정을 통해 힘들게 달려온 삶에 휴식을 주고 싶은 마음도 담았다.
작품은 추상과 무의식, 현실과 실재 사이를 넘나든다. 변화무쌍한 모습을 보여주는 원래의 하늘처럼 작품 속에서 보여지는 하늘 역시 다채로운 감정과 표현이 담겨 다양한 감성을 전한다. 특히 다양한 색감으로 하늘과 땅, 바다의 경계를 표현하며 평온함을 전한다.
국민대 회화과와 동대학원 석사 과정을 마치고 중앙대 예술공학 박사 과정을 수료한 김 작가는 ‘paradis’, ‘Bare Branches’, ‘Sometimes in April’ 등을 주제로 여러 차례 초대전을 가졌으며 이번 전시가 고향 광주에서 여는 첫번째 개인전이다.
