지난 주, 근래에 없던 폭설이 강원 일대를 덮쳤다. 눈은 많은 피해를 주었지만 우리에게 놀라운 아름다움을 선사하기도 한다. 자연은 늘 양날의 검을 가지고 있는 것이다. 겨울의 막바지에 겨울을 한껏 즐기기 위해 강원도 평창의 대관령 눈꽃축제를 찾았다. 때마침 평창 동계올림픽 유치에 열을 올리는 시기와 맞물려 기분은 한층 들떠올랐다. 불행하게도 아직 서울의 회색빛 겨울밖에 보지 못한 이가 있다면 지금부터 기자와 함께 하얀 겨울을 간접 체험하러 떠나보자.
