대학생들의 로망이던 유럽배낭여행을 넘어 요즘 많은 젊은이들이 인도를 찾고 있다. 거의가 그렇듯 강대국이 많은 서양문화는 손쉽게 접할 수 있었지만, 인도 문화는 우리에겐 아직 낯설다. 그런 이유에서였을까 유럽대신 인도행 티켓을 끊는 이들이 많아졌고 대부분이 장기간 그곳에서 수행자처럼 여행자 생활을 하고 온다고 한다. 국민*인 중에도 인도 곳곳에 둘러보며 온갖 새로운 것들을 다 마주하고 온 이가 있다고 한다. 사진과 글로 그의 이야기를 들어보자.
몸은 힘들지만 머리와 마음이 건강해지는 여행, 이런 것이 진정한 의미의 힐링캠프가 아닐까. 젊을 때 고생은 사서 한다고 하니 인도여행은 이를 몸소 실천할 수 있는 좋은 방안일 것 같다. 영화 <김종욱 찾기>가 인도에 대한 궁금증을 제법 끌어냈는데, 더 깊은 인도를 만나고 싶다면 다가오는 방학에는 인도로 떠나봄직하다.
