통학시간, 100배 활용하기

국민인의 평균 통학시간은 아무리 짧은 사람이라도 왕복 1시간, 긴 사람이라면 왕복 3시간 이상이 소요된다. 그렇다면 4년간의 통학시간은 약 900시간정도다. ‘900시간’, 과제를 400개는 해치울 수 있으며 영어단어를 3,600개는 외울 수 있는 시간이다. 물론 자신이 좋아하는 일을 충분히 할 수 있는 시간이기도 하다. 단지 장소와 시간의 제약만 있을 뿐. 이 소중한 시간을 지금부터라도 매일 반복되는 등하교 시간을 잘만 활용한다면 큰 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 통학시간을 활용하는 방법을 알아보고 자신에게 알맞은 방법을 선택해 보자.
“과제요? 시간이 없어서…….”, “운동할 시간이 없어.” 오늘도 자연스럽게 이런 말이 불쑥 나오지 않았나요? ‘시간’이 없다는 말. 입에 베어버려서 툭툭 내던지게 되는 말이지만, 우리는 알고 있습니다. 시간이 없는 것이 아니라 잘 활용되지 못하고 있을 뿐이란 걸. 즐기고 공부하는 시간만 시간이 아닙니다. 걷는 시간, 버스 기다리는 시간, 통학하는 시간도 다 똑같은 일분일초인걸요. 하루가 24시간이 될지, 15시간 밖에 안 될 지는 당신에게 달려 있습니다.
