국민대 테크노디자인전문대학원 건축디자인학과, 건축학교육 프로그램 인증 최고등급 획득

국민대학교(총장 정승렬) 테크노디자인전문대학원 건축디자인학과가 한국건축학교육인증원 (Korea Architectural Accreditation Board, KAAB)의 건축학교육 프로그램 인증심의에서 최고등급으로 건축학 교육인증을 획득했다.
건축학교육 프로그램 인증은 한국건축학교육인증원에서 교육 인증을 부여하는 제도로, 건축사 자격 시험에 응시하기 위해서는 반드시 필요하다.
건축학교육 프로그램 인증은 KAAB에서의 후보자격 심사를 시작으로 3박 4일 일정의 현장실사가 진행되며, KAAB 이사회의 최종 심의 및 결정을 통해 인증결과가 통보된다.
스마트스페이스랩과 어반아키텍쳐랩을 중심으로 진행되는 첨단기술 융합 교육 과정, 지난 12년간 건축디자인학과 자체의 노력에 의한 독도 국제공모전 주최, 학생들과 교수진의 우수한 연구 성과 등이 강점으로 손꼽힌다. 또한, 프로그램에 대한 학생들의 높은 자긍심과 교수진의 헌신, 재학생과 동문들의 친밀한 유대관계도 높게 평가되었다.
이로써 국민대는 학부와 대학원 모두에서 KAAB의 건축학교육 프로그램 인증을 받은 국내 유일한 대학으로 우수성을 입증했다. 김용성 건축디자인학과장은 “조형대학 초대학장인 故김수근 교수의 건축교육 이념을 계승하여, 첨단 과학기술을 기반으로 사회문제 해결 능력과 창의성을 갖춘 미래대응형 건축인재의 양성이라는 교육목표를 달성하기 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
