‘2014 미니드론 자율비행 경진대회’ 동상 수상 / 전자공학부 ELCO팀

국민대학교 전자공학부 ELCO팀(박성환 10학번, 최관호 07학번, 이보규 08학번, 김의현 09학번, 지도교수 오정헌)은 지난 7월 17 (목) 평창 용평리조트에서 대한전기학회가 주최한 ‘2014 미니드론 자율비행 경진대회’에 참가하여, 동상을 수상하였다.
대한전기학회 하계학술대회의 한 행사로 출발하는 본 대회는 공학계열 대학생의 제어 및 시스템 설계에 관한 실무 능력 강화와 주어진 문제 해결 과정을 통한 창의적인 아이디어 도출과 팀워크 능력 배양 그리고 제어기술에 대한 저변 확대 및 소프트웨어 인력 양성을 목적으로 개최 되었으며, 올 해를 1회로 매년 개최될 예정이다.
‘드론(Drone)’이란 무인 항공기로 본 대회에서는 쿼드콥터(4개의 프로펠러를 가진 헬리콥터) 장비에 안드로이드 OS를 기반으로 해 프로그래밍 한 후 이륙시간과 착륙시간의 호버링 유지기록을 측정하여 본선에 진출한 20개 팀을 평가하였다.
