‘KIYO 4I 세계청소년올림피아드’ 금상 3건, 은상 1건 및 국회의장상 수상 / 전자공학부

국민대학교 전자공학부 김소진(12학번), 심승범(11학번), 조민기(15학번) 학생들이 지난 8월 8일부터 10일 경주에서 열린 세계여성발명기업인협회가 주관한 ‘KIYO 4I 세계청소년올림피아드’ ‘발명왕중왕전’에 참가하여 금상 3건, 은상 1건(본상) 및 국회의장상(특별상)을 수상하는 쾌거를 이루었다.
세계 10개국 청소년 500여 명이 참가한 세계청소년올림피아드에서 ‘금상 3건, 은상 1건 및 국회의장상’이라는 최종 성적을 거두었다.
세계청소년올림피아드의 발명왕중왕전은 세계의 각종 발명대회에서 수상경력이 있는 청소년들이 모여, 최고의 발명품을 겨루는 대회로 위 학생들은 ‘ Electronic sletch device based on temperature(온도기반 전자스케치장치)’ 외 3건을 발명하였다. 대표 발명품은 시각장애인들이 보다 편리하게 다양한 색의 그림을 표현할 수 있도록 도와주는 장치이다. 특히, 이 발명품은 독창적이고 실용적인 아이디어에 있어 ‘세계청소년올림피아드’의 취지에 부합한다는 점에서 큰 점수를 받을 수 있었다. 위 학생들은 상장과 함께 메달을 수여했다.
