우리 대학 일반대학원 금속공예학과 최혜영 학생이 갤러리 마쩨에서 주관하는 제35회 마쩨 국제 졸업전시회 2021(The Marzee International Graduate Show 2021)에서 Marzee Prize를 수상하였다.
갤러리 마쩨는 1979년 개관한 네덜란드 소재의 현대장신구 전문 갤러리이며 국제적으로 지명도가 높다. 매년 8월부터 10월까지 열리는 마쩨 국제졸업전시회는 갤러리의 중요 일정이며 새로운 세대의 작품들을 널리 알리고 대중과의 소통을 목표로 하고 있다.
1986년 네덜란드 주요 3개 대학의 졸업생으로 구성된 소규모의 전시로 시작되어 1995년 이후 국제적인 규모로 확대되었다. 현재는 매년 세계 곳곳 4-50여개 미술대학 졸업생 100여명 젊은 작가의 선정된 작품들을 전시하고 있다.
국민대 금속공예학과는 2007년부터 매년 3-5명 초대되어 출품해왔다. 올해는 학부졸업예정자 7명과(김지수, 배수연, 신향수, 심재관, 유지혜, 이남경, 이지은) 대학원 졸업자(최혜영) 1명, 총 8명이 출품했으며, 사람의 머리카락을 매우 섬세하고 완성도 있게 다룬 최혜영은 각국의 다른 수상자 8명과 함께 Marzee Prize를 수상했다.
