2021 지역신문 컨퍼런스 한국언론진흥재단 이사장상(은상) 수상 / 장나영, 손준형(사회학과 20), 공지은(사회학과 21) 학생

우리 대학 사회학과 학생들이 지난 11월 12일(금) 한국언론진흥재단이 주관하고 지역신문 발전위원회가 주최한 ‘2021 지역신문 컨퍼런스’에서 한국언론진흥재단 이사장상(은상)을 수상했다.
이번 컨퍼런스에서는 “뉴노멀, 지역신문의 위기와 기회”를 주제로 청년이 제안하는 지역신문의 활성화 방안에 대한 ‘미래독자의 눈’ 공모를 진행했다.
본 공모에서 국민대학교 사회학과 팀 ‘유토피아’(2학년 장나영·손준형, 1학년 공지은)는 지역신문과 메타버스 플랫폼의 연계를 통한 새로운 상생 방안을 발표하여 총 8개의 본선 진출팀 중에서 한국언론진흥재단 이사장상(은상)을 수상했다.
특히 팀 ‘유토피아’의 뉴스와 유토피아를 합친 “뉴토피아.zip" 프로젝트는 지역신문의 특징과 메타버스의 가상적 공간을 결합하여 기존의 지역 간 경계는 흐려지고 다양한 지역과 문화에 대한 이해도는 높아질 수 있도록 했다는 점에서 주목할 성과다.
