사회문화디자인연구소, '한글재민2.0'로 제12회 봉래상 수상

봉래출판문화재단 부정애 이사장으로부터 상장과 부상을 수여하는 김민교수
국민대학교 테크노디자인전문대학원 시각디자인학과가 운영하는 '사회문화디자인연구소'가 지난 11월 24일 제12회 봉래상을 수상하였다. '봉래상'은 일생을 지식인의 사회적책임과 역할을 강조하고 실천하신 '사상계' 발행인 봉래 부완혁 선생의 정신과 업적을 기리기 위해 설립된 재단법인 봉래출판문화재단이 건전한 출판문화발전에 기여한 공로자에게 수상하는 매우 영예로운 상이다.
사회문화디자인연구소의 김민 소장, 박윤정 교수와 이규선 박사과정이 합심하여 지난해 대한의원 개원칙서의 서체를 디지털폰트로 제작하여 온 국민에게 무료로 배급한 것에 뒤이어 지난 11월 3일 한자 4,888자까지 탑재시킨 '한글재민2.0'을 두번째로 '공유마당' 무료폰트로 기증한 일이 이번 수상의 결정적인 계기가 되었다.
김민교수는 수상소감을 통해 내년 5월까지 대법원이 지정한 한자 8,279자를 추가로 개발하여 '한글재민3.0'을 완성하기로 하였으며, 부상으로 받은 일천만원을 '한글재민'의 제작과정과 의의를 담은 단행본 출판을 위해 사회문화디자인연구소 발전기금으로 전액 희사의 뜻을 밝혔다.
