2024 부산대/경상대 총장배 경진대회 수상/기계공학부 드론동아리 '크론' 학생들

국민대 기계공학부 학생들의 드론동아리인 크론(Krone)의 2개 팀이, 2024년 8월 23~24일 통합(부산대학교 총장배 창의비행체, 경상국립대학교 총장배 자작모형항공기) 경진대회에서 최우수상(1등)과 장려상(3등)을 수상하였다.
고정익(천진낭만)팀(안지훈, 박천진, 강병수, 석홍재, 김성준, 신태섭, 양류민, 이겸비, 정상엽)은, 2개의 덕트팬을 사용한 전투기 기체를 설계하여 고정익 창작부문에서 최우수상을 수상하였다. 천진낭만팀은, 이번 대회와 별도로 동시 진행된 GNU 다쏘시스템 코리아 CATIA 설계보고서 대회에서도 최우수상(1등)을 수상하였다.
회전익(불꽃날개)팀(김훈민, 소준범, 신준휘, 유재원, 한성빈 조가원, 맹정연, 김주영, 김진모)은, 안정적 비행과 대회에서 주어진 임무수행을 기반으로 장려상을 수상하였다.
국민대 기계공학부에서는 고정익 항공기와 회전익 드론의 설계·제작에 관심 있는 학생들끼리 모여, (기계공학부 임시형교수, 미래모빌리티 윤용현 교수)의 지도로 활동하고 있다.
