정밀공학 발전 기여로 가헌학술상 수상 / 정재일(기계공학부) 교수

국민대학교(총장 정승렬) 기계공학부 정재일 교수가 정밀공학 분야에서의 탁월한 연구 성과를 인정받아 지난 11월 14일(목) 한국정밀공학회 추계학술대회 시상식에서 가헌학술상을 수상했다.
가헌학술상은 신도리코의 비영리 재단법인인 가헌신도재단이 제정한 상으로, 과학기술 발전에 기여한 연구자에게 수여된다. 정 교수는 특히 로봇 기구설계 분야에서의 학문적 성과와 기술적 공헌을 높이 평가받아 이번 상의 영예를 안았다.
2006년부터 국민대 기계공학부 교수로 재직 중인 정재일 교수는 다수의 연구 프로젝트를 성공적으로 수행하며 고급 인재 양성과 로봇 설계 기술의 발전에 크게 기여해왔다. 정 교수의 연구는 정밀공학 기술 발전뿐만 아니라 산업 현장에서의 응용 가능성을 높이는 데 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.
정 교수는 수상 소감에서 “이번 수상을 계기로 더욱 혁신적인 연구와 후학 양성에 힘쓰겠다”며 앞으로도 정밀공학 분야에서 지속적인 성과를 내겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.
