교촌마을 유리공방서 ‘유리, 경주로의 여행전’ / 디자인대학원 유리조형디자인 전공

경주교촌마을 유리공방은 다음달 28일까지 ‘유리, 경주로의 여행전’을 연다.
이번 전시전에는 국내 유명 유리작가들이 참여한다. 참여 작가들은 국민대 디자인대학원 유리조형디자인 전공 교수와 대학원생 등이다.
국민대는 1988년 국내 처음으로 유리 교육을 시작하고 한국 유리산업의 고부가가치 창출을 위해 유리제품디자이너를 육성하는 한편 유리를 조형매체로 사용할 수 있는 실기와 이론 위주의 심도 있는 교육을 실시해 오고 있다.
교촌마을 유리공방은 전시전 기간 동안 유리에 대한 기본적인 지식에서부터 제작기법에 대한 자료와 작품 등의 영상 홍보물과 시연을 관람할 수 있도록 한다.
유리공방 관계자는 “이번 전시를 통해 유리의 투명함을 통한 조형성, 공예성, 그리고 경주와의 역사성을 관광객과 시민들에게 알릴 수 있을 것으로 기대된다”고 말했다.
